Connecting Human DNA with the Divine Blood of JESUS!

Facilitator: Min. Sonnie Robinson

MASTER CLASS #3 SUMMARY

In Session #1, we began the class with a discussion about covenants, because it is through God’s covenants

with man that His divine plan to redeem humanity is revealed. A discussion on covenants also helps us to make the connections between how God created the essence of humanity (human DNA) and how He designed eternal redemption through the divine blood of Jesus. Okay, keep reading, this will be made plain as we go along!

A covenant is a sacred agreement or contract between God and humanity, often marked by promises, obligations, and signs. The Bible contains five major covenants that define God’s relationship with humanity and His redemptive plan. These covenants, found in both the Old and New Testaments, are agreements between God and His people. Here are the five covenants:  The Noahic Covenant (Genesis 9:8-17), The Abrahamic Covenant (Genesis 12:1-3, 15:1-21, 17:1-14), The Mosaic Covenant (Exodus 19-24), The Davidic Covenant (2 Samuel 7:12-16), and The New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-34, Luke 22:20). These covenants progressively point to the ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ and the New Covenant.

Jesus’ blood is central to the New Covenant because it establishes and ratifies it. His shed blood provides for healing and forgiveness of sins, His blood replaces animal sacrifices of the Old Covenant, His blood grants us access to God, and His blood is eternal (flows forever).

Jesus’ blood also sealed and established the New Covenant. Through His blood, salvation comes by grace through faith in Christ alone, not by human effort (Romans 3:25, Ephesians 2:8-9), and His sacrifice is the ultimate expression of God’s love and the way by which we are reconciled to Him forever.

In Session #2, we examined the six connections between human DNA and the Divine blood of Jesus.

Human DNA sustains physical life, and the blood of Christ sustains eternal life. This profound connection reveals how God’s wisdom, in biological design, points to His greater plan for redemption, emphasizing that life, both physical and spiritual, is ultimately found in Christ (John 14:6).

Theologically, human DNA serves as a physical reflection of a deeper spiritual truth, which is God’s divine order in creation. The unchanging, life-carrying nature of human DNA mirrors the unchanging, life-giving nature of the blood of Jesus. DNA is the foundation of biological identity and life, while the blood of Jesus is the foundation of spiritual identity and eternal life. Both serve as carriers of inheritance—one in the physical realm and the other in the divine.

Through Jesus’ blood, believers receive a new identity, just as human DNA defines a person’s physical nature. This profound connection reveals the divine design in both the natural and spiritual worlds, affirming that God’s plan for life extends beyond the physical into the eternal.

In Session #3, we discussed the connections between the biological functions (the heart, arteries, veins) and the spiritual and redemptive power of the Blood of Jesus Christ. The scientific implications of human blood offer a fascinating lens through which we can connect the functions of human blood, to the spiritual and redemptive power of Jesus’ blood.

  • Life-Sustaining Role of Blood – Delivers oxygen and nutrients to sustain life, AND represents life and the ultimate sacrifice of Christ.

  • The Human Heart (Center of Life)- Pumps blood to supply life to the body AND originates from the heart Ezekiel 36:26 – “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.”

  • The Arteries (Deliver Life) – Carries oxygenated blood from the heart to the body AND God’s Word and Spirit bring life and renewal. John 6:63 – “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing.”

  • The Veins (Return to the Source) – Carries deoxygenated blood back to the heart for purification AND returns to God for cleansing and renewal 1 John 1:9 – “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

We can now see how the scientific properties of human blood beautifully echo the divine properties of Jesus’ blood. Understanding these connections can make the ‘theology of the New Covenant’ more tangible and meaningful. By viewing His sacrifice through this lens, believers can experience a deeper appreciation for the life, cleansing, healing, and victory found in the divine blood of Jesus.

In Session #4, we discussed the role of blood in the natural and spiritual healing process.

The body’s ability to heal itself is a profound reflection of how God restores us spiritually. Each step in the healing process mirrors the spiritual work that God performs in our hearts and lives when we experience brokenness, sin, or pain. Let’s explore this connection step by step:

  • Stopping the Bleeding – The body immediately works to stop the bleeding, forming a protective clot to prevent further loss. When we come to God in our brokenness, He stops the “bleeding” of sin in our lives through confession and repentance. Isaiah 1:18 – “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.”

  • Cleansing the Wound – When we surrender to God, the Holy Spirit begins cleansing us. He removes the sin, shame, and spiritual “debris” that hinders our relationship with God. This process is often uncomfortable, but it’s necessary for true healing. Psalm 51:10 – “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”

  • Building New Tissue – After cleansing, God begins to rebuild our lives. He replaces our brokenness with His grace, peace, and purpose. He plants new spiritual habits, strength, and faith in our hearts. 2 Corinthians 5:17 – “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

  • Strengthening and Maturing – God matures us through trials and tribulations, using our past wounds to strengthen our faith. The scars of our spiritual battles become testimonies of His healing power. Romans 5:3-4 – “We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”

Just as physical healing takes time, spiritual healing is a journey. Trust that God is working in every stage, even when it’s painful.  Be open to the Holy Spirit’s conviction and allow Him to cleanse you of sin and harmful patterns.  Recognize that God doesn’t just patch you up—He makes you new! This profound connection between the Human DNA and the Divine Blood of Jesus reveals the divine design in both the natural and spiritual worlds, affirming that God’s plan for life extends beyond the physical into the eternal.
