We understand from God’s word that true faith refers to being able to maintain a heart of reverence for God, and submission to Him in whatever situation we may face—whether we’re encountering hardships and refinements, setbacks and failures, grief and loss we put our fleshly body aside and Walk by Faith.
We believe that the Bible is the written Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Family Baptist Church equips us to become disciples of Christ by empowering us to live victorious lives. Moreover, we believe a restored relationship with God is possible upon the profession of our faith, the confession of our sins and accepting Jesus as our personal savior. We believe that Jesus Christ died, rose from the dead, and will return. Upon this belief we obtain God’s grace and mercy.

The Legacy and Growth of Family Baptist Church
The Family Baptist Church was established on April 29, 1979, under the visionary leadership of Minister Floyd E. Rose. A week later, on May 6, 1979, the church held its inaugural service, marking the beginning of a vibrant spiritual journey. From its inception, Family Baptist Church prioritized structure and organization to effectively minister to its congregation and community. Early departments included Sunday School, the Youth Department, the Music Department, the Usher Board, the Nurses Guild, the Missionary Society, and the Trustee Board. Additionally, the church appointed a Director of Spiritual Leadership to guide the congregation in their faith journey.
A New Chapter in Leadership: Pastor Charles H. McBee, Sr.
On August 24, 1992, Family Baptist Church entered a transformative phase when Charles H. McBee, Sr., alongside his wife Teresa, was called to serve as pastor. Pastor McBee embraced his role as a shepherd, focusing on uniting and leading the church with a renewed sense of purpose and vision. His leadership ignited a spiritual revival, further enriching the church’s commitment to its core mission.
Expanding Ministries and Mission
Under Pastor McBee’s stewardship, the church expanded its reach by establishing numerous ministries. These ministries serve as a testament to the church’s dedication to being a beacon of hope and faith in the community. Each initiative is built on the foundational mission: “To seek the salvation of the lost.”
Grounded in the Word of God, Family Baptist Church strives to shine as a light in a world often overshadowed by challenges and despair. Through its collective efforts, the church remains steadfast in sharing the Gospel and demonstrating God’s love through service and discipleship.
A Lasting Impact
Today, Family Baptist Church continues to grow both spiritually and numerically, thriving as a testament to God’s enduring faithfulness. Its legacy, forged by the foundational work of Minister Floyd E. Rose and carried forward by Pastor McBee, reflects a community deeply rooted in faith, unity, and service. Together, the members of Family Baptist Church are committed to building a brighter future through unwavering devotion and a shared vision of hope.
Whether through its ministries or its day-to-day acts of kindness, Family Baptist Church embodies its calling as a place where believers come together to worship, serve, and grow in their faith.
